Our Heritage
The partners' roots in property development stem from S&S Builders, the Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire developer established in the 1960s.
In the early 1990s S&S Builders was acquired by Genesis Homes, the Milton Keynes-based development firm renowned for its extremely high build quality and attention to detail. Some of the area's most popular developments are Genesis residential schemes.
With Genesis concentrating on long-term strategic land promotion, as related businesses, Steadman Country Homes and Taylor Williams Properties became developers of smaller, quality developments in rural locations, both individually and through joint ventures.
Taylor French Developments has evolved from these two development firms, as an independent developer/builder concentrating on achieving planning for, and developing, small to medium-sized unique developments in the Home Counties and beyond.
Taylor French Construction was formed with the arrival of Brian Ball who spent many years as Construction Director of Taylor Wimpey and Development Director of Taylor Woodrow and the result of this is that the Taylor French Group now has a quality construction arm of the business with the benefits of the many years building experience of both Stephen French and Brian Ball.
