This site had long existed as a small piece of overgrown, disused scrub land in the centre of the village.
It came with an outline consent for a terrace of three small dwellings.
Due to the prominence of the site within the village, and the strong local character, a careful and sympathetic approach was needed in the design of the site, if an improvement to the existing planning was to be achieved.
The planning consent achieved was for four stone-built terraced cottages.
