This project was a hybrid design and self build type arrangement. We located a purchaser who was able to buy the plot of land (subject to planning) by utilising a self build mortgage from the Buildstore and they employed us to obtain planning and construct their home for them.  This meant they were able to design their home to their individual wishes.  They therefore had the benefit of a self build type arrangement, with enjoyable elements such as choosing kitchens, bathrooms, wall and floor tiles, electrical layouts and decorative finishes etc.  They did not have to find all the time, effort and knowledge required to employ and deal with the individual trades and material suppliers, or to project manage the scheme.  This proved so successful that they want to do it again with us if a suitable opportunity arises.
